THE PUMPKIN PATCH IS OPEN - and THE FALL COLORS COULDN'T BE MORE BEAUTIFUL!

Now Picking: We still have nice Red Northern Spy, Green Northern Spy, Red Delicious, and Yellow Delicious Apples. Hot Peppers, Winter Squash, Cabbages, Collard Greens.

Our farm is open from 8:30 in the morning until 6:30 in the evening, 7 days a week.

Our Tea Rooms are open from 11 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon.

The Tea Rooms are closed on Mondays.

2005 Picking Schedule

June 4 thru July 1
RHUBARB
STRAWBERRIES .
July 2 thru July 16- SWEET CHERRIES - A beautiful crop this year.
QUEEN ANNES - Red on the outside, white on the inside. Firm, flavorful, not quite as sweet as black cherries, but very good for freezing and canning.
BLACK CHERRIES - Royaltons, Bings, Black Ox-Hearts, and Black Windsors (in order of their ripening). All very similar: big, black in color, and very sweet.
YELLOW OX-HEARTS - . Taste just light black cherries, but are bright yellow in color.
MULBERRIES - Available June 29 until about July 7.
CURRANTS - Both red and black varieties available in limited quantities until July 10.
July 10
TART CHERRIES - We grow Montmorency Sours - the favorite pie and cooking cherry - as well as Richmond Sours, which are smaller & sweeter, great for fresh eating and for cherry jam & jelly.
GOOSEBERRIES - Delightfully tangy to just eat, excellent for pies, jams and jelly.
RASPBERRIES - Both purple and red raspberries,
ALL DURING AUGUST 
PEACHES - We grow many varieties (Red Haven, Hale Haven, Sun Haven, Jubilee, Crest Haven, Triogem, Glo-Haven, Loring) - all freestone - that are available throughout the month of August.
Mid-July thru November
APPLES - Red Williams and Hyslip Crabapple in August.
Gravenstein, McIntosh, Macoun, Cortland, Greening, Red Delicious, Jonathan, Yellow Delicious, Ben Davis, Empire, Ida Red, Rome Beauty and Northern Spy and Fuji apples throughout the fall.
PEARS - Clap Favorite, Sugar Pears, Bartlett, Bosc and Anjou pears starting in Mid-August through September.
PRUNES - in early to mid-September.
VEGETABLES - Lots of hot peppers, winter squash, herbs, flowers, pumpkins and other vegetables in August, September and October.
CIDER
HERBS - Marjoram, sage, summer savory and mint perfect for cutting July 8 - July 18..
FLOWERS - Cutting flowers for bouquets ready July 15.

 

All dates are approximate. Picking information is updated daily in season. You are welcome to eMail or call us at (716) 778-7926 for more information. All fruit and vegetables are available fresh-picked or Pick-Your-Own. Please call ahead for large, already-picked orders.

During the season, we are open for picking 7 days a week from 8:30 in the morning until 6:30 in the evening.

The Orchard Tea Rooms are open for Luncheon and Afternoon Tea from 11 am to 4 pm Tuesdays through Sundays.
The Tea Rooms also welcome group meetings and special events such as Bridal and Baby Showers by reservation. Personalized jam favors for your special event are also available. Call (716) 778-7926 or eMail for details.
